For implementation of this project, the company received up to €193,955.00 in support from the European Regional Development Fund, under measure No. 03.3.1-LVPA-K-854 “Industry Digitalization LT” of Priority 3 “Promoting the Competitiveness of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises” of the EU 2014-2020 Funds Investment Action Programme.
Focus on technical modernization, new products
AB “Actas” (hereinafter – the company) is a small enterprise of Lithuanian capital (up to 50 employees), whose main activity is the production of vinegars, marinades, sauces, and syrups from agricultural products (ethyl alcohol, concentrated apple juices, white wine raw materials, glucose-fructose syrup, etc.). AB “Actas” devotes considerable attention to modernizing and automating its existing technological equipment, and introducing new product recipes to the market.
Innovative systems, modern technologies
In 2016-2017 the company’s production was modernized: a modern vinegar bottling technological line with a bottle-blowing machine was installed (capacity - 6,000 bottles/hour), and an innovative “drive-in” mechanized warehouse rack system was installed in the storage premises. In order to compete under conditions of intense competition, in 2020 the company automated its production operations and installed an automatic deep vinegar fermentation technological line, which allows the fermentation of alcohol up to 20% acidity, significantly increasing the efficiency of the existing technological process.
Process productivity and company expansion
The implementation of modern digital production technologies not only enabled the company to automate and robotize its production processes, but also allowed integration of both new and existing production equipment into a unified automated production process control system. The company also gained the ability to monitor production in real time, record equipment cycle counts, downtimes, ensure traceability of raw materials and finished products, etc. All this has enabled increased labour productivity in the company, made conditions for growing competitiveness, and ensured long-term business development.
Digital production
The digital production technologies and equipment introduced fully comply with the requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0), integrating IT, automation, and mechanics into one integral whole.
